On July 19, 2021, admitting providers were offered the additional option to allow asymptomatic subjects to COVID swab upon admission. We are now pleased extend this offer to the 9B space starting Friday, September 3rd, 2021. Any subjects not planning to have their pre-swab completed/uploaded within 72 hours of admissions will need a COVID ORDER added to their pre-admission orders so that nursing can swab upon admission. If a subject has completed their pre-swab but results are not uploaded into the MAR prior to admission, our nursing staff will be required to obtain an inpatient swab. Kindly, please advise any subjects that paper copies on hand or screenshots are not accepted forms of swab results. For assay type, the default specimen source will continue to be AN for asymptomatic subjects.
